The 11 principles guided Ike through his experience in the internment camps during World War II, his work with the Black Panther Party, and his tenure as Executive Director of Atlantic Street Center from 1953 to 1986.

2) Effective Communication Styles

Presenter: Christopher Fong, Education, Google

This interactive workshop will discuss how to utilize websites such as YouTube, Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn to bring about change in your organization and community.

4) Work/Life Balance
Presenter: Freddie Barrett

Life balance is a continuum of roles, values and energy that varies from person to person.  People generally know when they are out of balance, but struggle to find their own emotional, physical, mental and spiritual equilibrium, particularly with today’s 24/7 pace.  This session focuses on the major categories of roles and values that comprise and influence our lives, and provides exercises, tools and discussions to help individuals make key deliberate choices to bring about the balance and alignment they seek.  Each Participant will develop a personalized action plan to improve work-life balance.  Perhaps of most value will be that Participants will work to define and craft a vision of themselves at their best that can guide their choices and tradeoffs as they maneuver through life’s opportunities and challenges for life balance.
