Executive Nonprofit Leaders Program

LEAP Engage is an immersive and engaging leadership development program designed to build organizational capacity and effectiveness by developing new Executive Directors to be more effective in their leadership roles, particularly in emerging nonprofit and community-based organizations. dedicated to strengthening and empowering low-income and underserved communities. This program provides nonprofit Executive Directors with advanced tools, strategies, and frameworks to enhance systems-level thinking, foster organizational growth, and drive long-term, sustainable impact while centering Asian and Pacific Islander cultural experiences, values, and community context. Additionally, connections among participants, community members, and LEAP alumni will be facilitated with the intention of fostering a robust sense of belonging. 

Curriculum Highlights

  • Executive leadership frameworks and organizational strategy

  • 6 hours of one on one executive coaching with an Asian American, certified LEAP coach and tailored leadership plans

  • Workshops on fundraising, board development, and inclusion practices

  • Peer exchange with other nonprofit executive directors

  • Tools for scaling impact and building sustainable organizations

  • A national network of API and API serving nonprofit leaders

Format

In Person and Virtual

Duration

3-part cohort-based program from December to March

  • Part 1 (virtual sessions) — 4 full days in December

  • Part 2 (virtual sessions) — 2 hours, two times per month from January to February

  • Part 3 (in-person sessions) — 3 full days in March

Cohort Size

10-12 cohort members

Ideal Participant Profile

Newer nonprofit executive directors or CEOs with 3 years or less in the role

Participants must be able to commit to all three parts to be accepted into the program.

Tuition

Upon acceptance to this program, your program fee will be based on your organization's budget and size and an invoice will be emailed to you. The program fee includes workbook materials, most meals, round-trip airfare, lodging, and eight executive coaching sessions. Scholarship availability may depend on program funding; however, this does not guarantee their availability.

Sliding Scale Tiers

  • Fee A $499,999 or less → $500

  • Fee B $500,000 – $999,999 → $1,000

  • Fee C $1,000,000 – $2,999,999 → $2,000

  • Fee D $3,000,000 - $9,999,999 → $3,500

  • Fee E $10,000,000+ → $5,000
